Every summer, the EMA hosts a golf outing to raise money for their Environmental Excellence Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are awarded to students who participate in the Science & Engineering Fair of Metro-Detroit in the environmental sciences category, as we do our own separate professional awards judging at the March science fair in Detroit.
The rising costs of college tuition, housing, and supplies make it difficult for some families to send their children to college, especially within the encompassing science and engineering field of study. Our goal is to help foster students with an invested interest in environmental science continue pursuing their goals as much as possible.
