SUMMARY:29th Annual Scholarship Program Golf Outing
DESCRIPTION:Play with Purpose: Fund the Future of Environmental Science\nJoin us for our Annual Scholarship Program Golf Outing to support the Environmental Excellence Scholarship Program\, helping students across Metro Detroit pursue futures in environmental science and engineering. \nThis impactful event directly funds scholarships awarded to participants in the Science & Engineering Fair of Metro Detroit\, specifically recognizing student projects focused on environmental science. \n28 Outings • $60\,000 in Awards\nSince launching the golf outing in 1997\, the EMA has proudly awarded over $60\,000 in student scholarships. Scholarship amounts are determined by funds raised through event participation\, sponsorships\, and on-course activities every year. Proceeds from the outing\, including raffles\, 50/50 drawings\, Vegas holes\, and novelty games\, go directly toward supporting the next generation of environmental innovators. \nScience Fair Benefactor Fund\nIn 2020\, EMA introduced the Science Fair Benefactor Fund\, providing businesses and individuals the opportunity to make a lasting impact by sponsoring scholarships for up to five years. This initiative allows benefactors to: \n\nHonor a legacy\, individual\, or environmental cause\nDirectly support student achievement in environmental science\nCollaborate with EMA on scholarship focus areas and project criteria\n\nThe inaugural benefactor\, the Doetsch family\, established the James Doetsch Memorial Science Fair Scholarship in 2021. Their generous five-year commitment significantly increased scholarship funding\, nearly doubling award amounts for participating students. \nWhy Your Support Matters\nWith the many ever-rising costs tied to education many students face financial barriers\, especially in demanding STEM fields like environmental science and engineering. Our mission is to reduce that burden and empower students who are passionate about environmental sustainability to continue their academic journeys. \nTurn Your Round into Real Impact\nBy participating in the EMA Golf Outing\, you’re not just enjoying a day on the course; you’re investing in the future of environmental stewardship. \nRegister\, sponsor\, or donate today to help support tomorrow’s environmental leaders.
